We ALL get better with a little help from our friends.
Our Services.
-
EDUCATION
Education should be available to all. Our goal is to help with tuition and books for the first year, whether it’s a trade school, community college, or a 4-year institution. Survivors can choose the school or trade; however, GPA minimum requirements must be maintained.
-
THERAPY
A safe place to work through your trauma. On average, survivors don’t get help until later in their adult years and carry their burdens alone. Our goal is to provide weekly therapy for the first year, or the co-payments for longer. Pick one from our referral list or choose someone yourself.
-
RENT
Everyone deserves a safe place to call home. Too often survivors must choose between the lesser of 2 bad things for living arrangements, simply because in todays age, the amount of $$$ needed to rent somewhere is difficult to save for when you are just trying to get by day after day. Our goal is to provide 1st, last and deposit for qualified survivors.
-
VEHICLE
For some a vehicle means the freedom to work anywhere, for others a vehicle allows you to get a specific type of job. Our goal is to provide a safe, reliable vehicle, nothing fancy, to get you from home to work, home to school, and wherever else you dream of. Some qualifications apply.
-
MENTORING
Most survivors never had a good role model around. Our mentoring program gives you a big brother or sister to learn from, to help guide you, to expose you to places you have never gone. Whether it’s the opera, a museum, a fancy restaurant or a ball game, your mentor will help expand your world. Our goal is providing great mentors, and a monthly budget for activities. Certain requirements apply.
-
CLASSES
Life needs to be taught to live it to your best ability. Schools no longer teach things that matter in life, like opening bank accounts, budgeting money, organization and time management, credit- how it works and how to manage it responsibly, basic auto repair, basic home maintenance, interviewing for a job, cooking and more. Our goal is to provide both on-line and in-person classes to all survivors.
